# MAN AGRO S.A

We created an information and data management platform to improve decision-making processes linked to agricultural production. In this case, we created an end-to-end application to store, update, and manage the production, sales and other financial data of one of the largest grain producers in the country.

# The Process

Working together with Man agro S.A., one of the largest agricultural producers in the country, we developed an information system aimed at harmonizing their data throughout the production process.

Taking the processes related to field reports, event simulation, yield analysis and other productive operations, carried out mostly in Excel, we designed and developed a data analytics platform to manage the information contained in these areas.

To achieve our objective, we carried out a first stage of Discovery, diving into the processes, systems and data products that were used at the moment within the organization. Maintaining several virtual and face-to-face interviews, in addition to observing how they carried out their work, we generated a report in which we informed the state of the process flow and the tools that could help optimize identified bottlenecks.

After Discovery, we seek to design the tool that we will develop internally within Man Agro. For this, we take into account modern principles of User Experience & UI Design, in addition to using Design Thinking processes to generate ideas from the organizational side. We generated our Wireframes, Figmas and Product Roadmaps to define the spectrum of our app.

Having planned our development path, we worked with our developers and data scientists to generate the organization's data model and implement the necessary databases.

For our application, we used PostgreSQL, Amazon Web Services, Javascript, various Python libraries, Rest APIs and other technologies to create an integral data web application. Through our work, Man Agro has no need to host the application on its internal servers, using cloud-based services to decentralize and store its information, while acquiring improved cybersecurity standards.

Since the development of our application, Man Agro has been able to harmonize its agricultural production and commercial information and is currently seeking to generate internal Data Analytics projects, in addition to addressing other areas (operational, satellite mapping) to complement its current platform.

Thanks to the first step taken to overcome the entropy of information towards the order of knowledge, Man Agro gradually but constantly improves its decision-making processes, relying more and more on data products.
